Koh Samui
Among the hundreds of islands in the gulf of Thailand Koh Samui is the biggest with an area of about 247 square km's. Koh Samui is just 21 kilometers at its widest point and 25 at its longest. Its hinterland consists of forests hills of limestone and granite. The island is surrounded by countless palm-fringed beaches with fine white sand and coral reefs.
Samui also has many sister islands, all gorgeous jewels rising up out of the beautiful clear ocean. They are blessed with white sandy beaches, rocky fertile interiors covered with teeming tropical vegetation, fresh sparkling streams, and abundant seafood:
